Attorney Matt McCrystal is a Delaware native, and relocated to North Carolina with his family in 1990. After graduating from Jordan High School in Durham, he went on to attend Appalachian State University, earning a B.S in Communications. Matt began his career in banking with Central Carolina Bank, and after a brief sojourn working at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming, he got started in the mortgage business in the early 2000’s. He first worked as an assistant to a loan officer in San Francisco, who at the time was ranked in the top 15 mortgage originators in the country. Upon his return to North Carolina, Matt worked as mortgage planner, and gained invaluable knowledge and experience in the real estate finance industry.Matt left the mortgage business to pursue his law degree at the Delaware Law School. He graduated in 2009 and returned home to North Carolina to begin his legal career. Initially focusing on criminal defense and traffic cases, Matt naturally gravitated back towards real estate, first through foreclosure defense work, and then as an associate in a transactional real estate law firm. He started The Law Office of Matthew McCrystal in 2016 and has been serving clients all over North Carolina ever since.Having closed over 1000 real estate transactions, Matt is able to guide clients through the closing process from start to finish. He loves the satisfaction that comes from helping people achieve their dreams, whether it’s first-time buyers closing on the perfect home, or experienced investors adding to their portfolio.

Matt currently resides in Cary with his wife and three children. When he’s not searching titles or closing loans, he attends as many concerts as he can, and once in a blue moon, can still be found on stage behind a drumset. Matt is also an avid soccer player and is a fan of Tottenham Hotspur. He loves UNC basketball, and the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He and his wife love the outdoors and hiking, and Matt’s travels have taken him to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the bottom of the Grand Canyon, and Machu Picchu.
